REVIEW: Azaad debuts on Dungeon Meat with hardhitting four-track EP ‘Sonic Boom’

Dungeon Meat are always guaranteed to release sonic weapons echoing their mantra and objective; ‘to bring the finest club cuts designed to detonate dancefloors’.

This rings true with the 13th release from the label, an EP from hot new talent Azaad. The dynamite is stacked, packed and ready to blow up clubs worldwide and the lucky few who possessed the promos, have been doing just that with the EP doing the rounds in establishments, festivals and events all over the world including DC-10, Bret, Underground Ibiza, Houghton and so many more.

Azaad that class of artists who do not stitch without a thread, who at all times know what they are doing and leave nothing to the whim of chance, although sometimes their decisions may seem unusual or out of place. And if, in addition, after a consecration in the underground, we see him doing his thing with Loosh, it leaves us even more surprised.

The entire album manages to provide introspection, absorbing energy and twilight light, and that closes a record that knows how to turn musical pulp into a refreshing ambrosia juice. The more the record is listened to, the more difficult it is to locate it in a specific geographical location. His music seems to never solidify, to be a flow of sounds and impressions that never seem to stay fixed in place or memory, like a perfume or a quick vision of a body in motion, until it postulates as one of the True future values of tame and lustrous electronics.
