PRTY and NRG have teamed up to end 2024 with one of the biggest techno parties Glasgow has ever seen, as Irish superstar blk. steps behind the decks at the OVO Hydro for an epic all night long set – and with more familiar faces taking to the stage throughout the night, it’s going to be an event to remember.
Taking place on Friday 27th December, throughout the night blk. will be joined by some of the industry’s best DJ talent for world exclusive B2B sets, including Rotterdam raver DYEN, industrial techno whizz Fantasm, fellow Irish star Black Traffic, Limerick’s newest export MELTX, and PRTY co-founders Jezza & Jod. Plus, with a very special guest still to be announced, there will be more than six hours of incredible, high-energy music to keep electronic music lovers moving on the dance floor from doors opening at 4pm to closing at 10.30pm.
Launched in 2021 by five friends who met through a mutual love for dance music, PRTY events have continued to grow in size and stature over the past three years. From starting with a small 200-capacity venue in Glasgow in 2021 to launching the sold-out PRTY Festival in Glasgow in 2023, which returned for its second year this summer and brought together 5,000 like-minded music lovers – PRTY’s founders have consistently focused on securing the best lineups and world-class production to create unforgettable moments. Now, the unmissable night at the OVO Hydro will be PRTY’s biggest event to date – and they don’t show any signs of slowing down.
PRTY co-founders Jezza and Jod said: “Three years on from our first ever PRTY event in a 200 capacity venue, we’ve now announced our biggest PRTY event yet at the OVO Hydro – which is just unbelievable.
“The first party we threw was attended by our friends and friends of friends, who have since become like a family to us, and launching an event of this size felt nervous yet exciting. Since the very start, we’ve always motivated each other and set goals, and we have a relentless attitude towards achieving our aims and believing in ourselves – we always say there is no limit to what we can achieve. We drive by the Hydro nearly every day and have always dreamed about doing an event there, so it’s hard to believe it’s come true so quickly. But we’re more than ready!”
DJ and producer blk. has amassed over 30 million plays on SoundCloud, solidifying his presence as a dominant force in the global electronic music scene. Known for selling out arena shows across the UK, Europe, America, and Australia in record time, blk. further cemented his reputation with a standout closing performance for the legendary Boiler Room brand.
Renowned for his high-energy, boundary-pushing sets, blk. has emerged as one of the most in-demand talents in techno. As he prepares for new releases and a worldwide tour, his influence on the dance music landscape continues to be nothing short of breathtaking.
