NOVEMBER 11, 2024—Today, one of New York City’s underground staple talents, Mink, has released a sleek new two-tracker Catcuta EP. The release is out now via his label Love On Cropsey.
Catcuta dances in between peak-time techy grooves with self-recorded Arabic vocals from Mink himself on the title track and woozy dancefloor hypnosis on the B-side, “Want It Bad.” Both tunes feature irresistible basslines that are dialed in with the precision of the seasoned producer. The Egyptian-American DJ/producer/label boss delivers the release ahead of key performances at Time Warp in New York City, Circoloco during Art Basel, and Miami’s infamous Club Space.
A Brooklyn native, Mink has become a mainstay of both Brooklyn and Ibiza’s nightlife scenes, delivering a level of consistency and sophistication in his sets that have earned him performances for Music On at Pacha, Circoloco at DC10, and Teksupport and Resolute in NYC. A patron of New York’s nightlife since his teens, Mink’s label Love On Cropsey is influenced by the sounds that have kept dance music culture unified and everlasting, with sounds that stretch from house music’s earliest days to cutting-edge minimal heat.
