'Redeemer & Destroyer' opens the EP with a dark and ominous soundscape, followed by the unique addition of guitar riffs in 'Renaissance'. The title track 'Ascension' takes listeners on a celestial journey, building to an explosion of energy and euphoria. Alberto Melloni's remix of 'Redeemer & Destroyer', titled the 'Blue Night Mix', adds another level of sonic experience with his signature soundscapes and driving beat. How would you present your work to someone who doesn't know you?
Introducing myself as Verum Grimoire, an electronic music artist, I aim to transport listeners back to the nostalgic 80s and 90s era. Meticulously producing each track, I pay homage to influential artists and sounds that shaped electronic music history. And your last job? Where is it born from? And where do you want to lead?
My latest project, the EP "Ascension," is born from my admiration for the club sounds of the mid-80s and the influence of renowned artists like Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode. While recreating the authentic vibe of that era, I aspire to explore other nostalgic periods like the 90s and early 2000s. My goal is to lead listeners on a transformative musical journey that connects generations.
What message would you like to convey to the public?
Through my music, I convey a deep connection, evoking emotions, sparking imaginations, and creating moments of joy and unity. It's a reminder of the transformative power of music and its ability to resonate with the human spirit. How did your last project come about?

What do you want to transmit in this work? What is the concept behind it?

It captures the authentic essence and infectious energy of that era while infusing it with a contemporary twist. Through careful selection of producing tools and sounds, it creates a transformative sonic journey that evokes emotions, ignites imagination, and fosters unity. "Ascension" celebrates influential artists, honors the vibrant club culture of the 80s, and leaves a lasting impact on listeners through its timeless appeal.
As for your studio, what is it currently made up of?
Equipped with essential tools like KRK Rokit 6 Gen 2 monitors, Sony MDR 7506 headphones, an Alesis MIDI controller, and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface, I bring my musical vision to life. These tools empower my creativity in electronic music production, providing accurate sound, clarity, and seamless control.
What is the one instrument you would never get rid of, no matter what?
The one synthesizer I would never part with is the legendary Roland Jupiter-8. Its rich analog sound and versatile modulation capabilities make it an irreplaceable instrument in my DAW, inspiring endless creativity and offering timeless sonic possibilities.
What was the last record store you visited? And what did you salvage from there?
During my visit to a local vintage vinyl record store in Guadalajara, Mexico, I was fortunate to salvage a collection of musical gems. Among them were Italo disco, High Energy, and classic 90's trance vinyl records, adding to my personal collection. It was a rewarding experience to explore the store's offerings and discover these nostalgic and timeless pieces of music..
Do you have hope for the future of music? How would you like the future of the music industry to be?
I envision a future for underground electronic music that embraces artistic integrity, celebrates diversity, and fosters a strong sense of community. Let love and creativity guide us towards a music industry that empowers artists and connects souls through the power of sound.

Yes, Stay tuned for future projects as I'm currently working on an exciting new EP inspired by the mesmerizing sounds of the 90s.
