These outstanding achievements have established Shai as one of the best and most valued artists in his genre in the world today, and so we are delighted to have him today with us !

Hello Shai T! Can you tell us Where are you from / how did you get into music?

Hey! thank you for having me . I'm live in a small town 20 minutes from the city of Tel-Aviv, Israel. Well, I started to play on musical instruments since I was 9 years old, and since then music become a major and a main part of my life. I got into the electronic music world around the age of 22, when I was living in Australia for 1 year. Since then, I decided that I want to take the electronic music as a serious thing in my life, and so I started as a DJ and moved forward and become a music producer

How do you feel that your music influences or impacts your listeners?

Well, I'm getting a lot of support from the listeners (which means A LOT to me), and it moves between telling me how much they like the music and enjoying listen to it, to things like that my music save their day, put a smile on their face, and so.

This kind of things, gives us , the artist, the power to keep on producing, even in hard times such as the pandemic brought over to us.

What projects are you working on right now?

At the moment I have one more Ep to be released this year (2021) which will be with my good friend and talented musician – Sahar Z, which will be released Soon on Guy Mantzur new imprint – "Moments". After that I'm working on 2 new remixes for great artists which will be released during the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022.

How would you define your sound?

As I just wrote above, I don’t think I can define exactly my sound , as its made of different sounds and influences from different style, but if I will have to try, then I will say I produce melodic house, mostly with kind of dreamy atmosphere.

Has your sound changed a lot in recent years? What is your musical criteria?

I think that my sound always change and develop. I do think It is a very important thing for an artist, not to stay stuck with one genre or style, and always to look for the next thing, but on the same time, to stay focused on the parameters which are the most important for him as a producer. I can say that I find myself moves between afro house to dreamy deep house, and melodic style – somewhere in the middle.

Do you feel safe now to play a more experimental sound?

Most of the time I do feel safe. We have to test new music, and see how it works on the dance floor. Otherwise, we will stuck with the music we already know forever and ever 😊. Its just that a good DJ will know when it is the right moment to put something new and try it out, without taking the risk that if that track will not work – it will ruin the party.

We all know that the digital revolution has affected sales, but has it affected creativity?

This is a very hard question to answer… Some will say it did affected creativity for bad, and some will say for good. I am on the side that thinks it affected for good – I do think that at the end of the day, we can't stop the new technology and systems coming to our life, and we must learn how to use them and to improve ourselves. Today's technology in studio's and in the music industry, made it much more simple to create music, and to produce it.

What was your last release and where?

My last release was on the 20.8 with Sebastien Leger's label – Lost Miracle. The Ep name is 'The Last Dance', with 2 tracks which both have live instruments in them, such as guitars, percussions and even Accordion. This Ep is totally summer vibe Ep, and has a lot of South American and also some French influences.
