Futuristic Funk and Machine Grooves: DJ Tankard Delivers Debut EP on Brick Sweat Records

Emerging steadily from the UK’s buzzing electro scene, DJ Tankard (Fin Tankard), announces the release of his highly anticipated debut EP, "Crash Landing," marking a significant milestone in the career of the young and swiftly rising producer.

“Crash Landing” showcases Tankard’s evolution as an artist, blending influences from Detroit electro legends AUX88 and DJ Maaco with funk-driven synthesizers reminiscent of contemporary electro visionaries like CEM3340.

The release is complemented by remixes from Brick Sweat Records boss Slim Shae, and other independent artists such as The Deserter (Argentina) and Watara (Venezuela), each adding their own style to Tankard's productions.

Hailing from the South West of England, DJ Tankard's journey into the realms of Detroit-style electro and bass has been fueled by a lifelong passion for music. Inspired by pioneers like Kraftwerk, Cybotron, and Man Parrish, Tankard's sound evolved organically, and is evident throughout this EP.

In his formative years within the South West’s music scene, Tankard immersed himself in various projects, including organizing DJ workshops and contributing to the electro-focussed mix series on SoundCloud through the collective Lizard Tapes. His talent soon caught the attention of international DJs who have played his tunes on the party circuit, leading to releases on independent platforms such as Ovelha Trax (Portugal), JADE (France), and Bøne.FM (India).
