FLY announces highly anticipated Boiler Room lineup for FLY Open Air 2023

FLY Open Air welcomes Boiler Room back for the 2023 edition of the much-loved festival at Edinburgh’s Hopetoun House, featuring a lineup of legendary returning names and debuts from both established homegrown talents and rising Scottish stars.

The iconic energy of Boiler Room sets is always electrifying, and this year’s lineup sees eight of FLY’s resident DJs stepping up to the plate.

On Saturday 20 May, Denis Sulta will make a welcome return to FLY Open Air with what is sure to be one of the most unmissable performances of the weekend. From sound tech at FLY’s spiritual home Cabaret Voltaire, all the way to conquering iconic venues such as Usher Hall, The Barrowlands, Leith Theatre and Edinburgh Castle, and curating his very own Sulta Selects: FLY Open Air in 2018, Sulta has become one of Scotland's most exciting musical exports. He has been at the forefront of some of the most memorable FLY parties to date, and this May will come as no exception.

Also playing on the Saturday is Dundee DJ Hannah Laing who will make her Boiler Room debut, on the back of a rapid rise that has seen her release tracks on Patrick Topping’s Trick label and sell out venues all over the UK.

Saturday’s Boiler Room will also feature Carlise-born DJ Sarah Story, presenter of Radio 1's Future Dance programme, as well as FLY Residents Seren Seo and Gav & Jezz.

The highlight of Sunday 21 May will no doubt be the performance from a top-secret, very special guest. In addition, joining the Boiler Room lineup for Sunday will be Australian-born, London based rising star Surusinghe, plus FLY residents Barry Can’t Swim, t e s t p r e s s and Hayley Zalassi.

FLY Open Air 2023 marks the perfect start to the summer festival season. The event will run from noon - 11pm on Saturday 20 May and noon - 10pm on Sunday 21 May.
